Care & Services

What level of care do you provide? add remove

We are licensed in Texas as a Type B assisted living facility. We provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation. We also coordinate with outside physicians, specialists, and therapists. Residents who require skilled nursing care (e.g., wound care, IV therapy) can often remain with us while receiving those services from a home health agency.

Do you offer memory care services? add remove

Yes. We provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Our memory care approach includes structured routines, sensory engagement activities, and a secure environment designed to reduce confusion and anxiety. Our staff receives ongoing dementia-care training to provide compassionate, person-centered support.

What is the staff-to-resident ratio? add remove

We maintain ratios that exceed state minimums to ensure each resident receives attentive, unhurried care. During daytime hours our ratio is typically 1 caregiver to every 5–6 residents. Overnight staffing ensures at least one awake caregiver on-site at all times. Ask our admissions team for current staffing details.

Are medications managed by staff? add remove

Yes. Medication management is included in our standard care. Our trained medication aides administer medications as prescribed, track refills, and communicate any concerns to the resident's physician or family. We use a secure electronic medication administration record (eMAR) system to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Can residents bring their own furniture and belongings? add remove

Absolutely. We encourage residents to personalize their suites with their own furniture, photographs, and cherished belongings. Making the space feel like home is important to us. Suites come with basic furnishings, but residents are welcome to replace or supplement them. We simply ask that items comply with fire safety requirements.

Yes — family is always welcome. We have no strict visiting hours. We simply ask that late-night visits (after 9 pm) are arranged in advance so as not to disturb other residents. Family involvement is one of the most important factors in a resident's overall wellbeing, and we actively encourage it.

What meals are provided? add remove

Three nutritious, chef-prepared meals are served daily in our dining room, along with morning and afternoon snacks. Our menus rotate weekly and accommodate dietary restrictions including diabetic, low-sodium, low-fat, texture-modified, and cultural or religious requirements. We believe good food is a cornerstone of quality of life.

What happens in a medical emergency? add remove

We have documented emergency response protocols in place. In a medical emergency, our staff immediately calls 911, initiates first aid, notifies the resident's emergency contact and physician, and accompanies the resident to the hospital if needed. Every resident has an emergency care plan on file. We also have automated external defibrillators (AEDs) on premises.
